Who we are
Casa Raiz Ltd, the company behind the Casa Dora website, is the data controller for this website (casa-dora.uk). Our registered office is Flat 2, 80 Puffin House, Carlton Vale, London NW6 5GX, and we are registered in England & Wales under company number 17281977.
For any question about your personal data, email [email protected] or call +44 7828 737 487.
What personal data we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, the services you tick and the message you write.
- Direct correspondence: anything you send us by email or tell us by phone.
- Technical data: our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.
- Preference data: a single value in your browser's local storage recording your cookie-banner choice. It contains no personal information.
We do not collect special-category data and this site is not directed at children.
Why we process it, and our lawful basis
| Purpose | Data used | Lawful basis (Art. 6 UK GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Answering your enquiry and preparing a proposal | Contact form and correspondence data | Art. 6(1)(b) — steps prior to a contract, at your request; otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us |
| Delivering services to clients and keeping business records | Correspondence, contracts, invoices | Art. 6(1)(b) — performance of a contract; Art. 6(1)(c) — legal obligation (UK tax and accounting law) |
| Site security and error diagnosis | Server logs | Art. 6(1)(f) — our legitimate interest in running a secure website |
| Remembering your cookie choice | Local-storage preference | Strictly necessary — exempt from consent under PECR |
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we will not add you to any marketing list without asking you first. Where any future processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time by emailing [email protected] — withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before it.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not become client work: deleted within 24 months of our last exchange.
- Client contracts, invoices and related correspondence: kept for 6 years after the end of the engagement, as required by UK tax law.
- Server logs: retained by our hosting provider for up to 90 days.
- Cookie-banner preference: stays in your browser until you clear your site data.
Who else touches the data
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. A small number of service providers process data on our behalf:
- Website hosting — serves this site and stores server logs.
- Google Fonts — delivers the site's typefaces; your IP address is processed by Google when fonts load. No cookies are set.
- Cloudflare (cdnjs) — delivers the site's animation library; your IP address is processed when the script loads. No cookies are set.
- Our email provider — stores messages you send to [email protected].
International transfers
Google and Cloudflare may process the technical data above on servers in the United States. Those transfers are safeguarded by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Everything you submit through the contact form is stored within the UK/EEA.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectify anything that is inaccurate
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict how we process it
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Withdraw consent for any consent-based processing, at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within one calendar month (30 days), as UK GDPR requires. There is no charge unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: www.ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and local storage
This site sets no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. The complete inventory:
| Name | Type / provider | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| casadora_cookies | Local storage — Casa Dora (first party) | Remembers whether you accepted or declined the cookie notice | Essential | Until you clear site data |
Third-party resources we load (Google Fonts, Cloudflare cdnjs) set no cookies on this site. If we ever add analytics, it will load only after you press Accept on the banner, and this inventory will be updated first.
Managing cookies: you can clear or block storage for this site at any time through your browser's settings (usually under Privacy & Security → Site data). Clearing it withdraws your recorded choice, and the banner will ask again on your next visit.
